Amazon.com Review With the largest ammo capacity of any Nerf gun, the Nerf N-Strike Raider CS-35 will make short work of your foam-shooting foes. The blaster can carry up to 35 darts in its drum magazine, and uses a pump-action system to fire them rapidly. Featuring a tactical rail that is compatible with most N-strike accessories, and an adjustable stock, the Raider CS-35 delivers the pinnacle of blaster performance. | | N-Strike Raider CS-35 Blaster | | | | | |
The N-Strike Raider CS-35 is sure to make short work of your Nerf-blaster foes. View larger. | Maximum Firepower and Versatility The CS-35 features a durable plastic frame, intended for intense play. It is based a classic Tommy gun design, complete with a drum magazine. This magazine can be used as an accessory with any other compatible N-Strike blasters. The CS-35 comes with an adjustable stock, which you adjust to fit the length of your arm. It also has a tactical rail, which you can equip with a variety of N-Strike accessories. With a 35-dart capacity, the CS-35 has a truly massive payload of foam. Because of this, you might expect it to be a bit cumbersome, but it is actually surprisingly mobile. The blaster is lightweight enough to sprint with, and you'll be able to blind-fire around a corner with ease. You also shouldn't have to worry about running out of darts. The CS-35 comes with 35 darts. The darts are gentle and soft, so younger kids will be able to get in on the action. There is one downside to the huge dart capacity: each dart has to be reloaded individually, so preparing the blaster for play can take several minutes. Still, the fun you will have is well worth these moments of tedium. Blast Your Enemies Away The CS-35 fires reliably in battle, and is free of the jamming that often plagues Nerf guns. It uses a pneumatic pump to propel the darts, allowing you to be in control of the rate of fire. The pump allows for two blasting modes -- multiple darts at a time, or single shots. The multiple-dart mode is particularly fearsome, since it will empty all 35 darts in a matter of seconds. What's in the Box Nerf N-Strike Raider CS-35 blaster, drum magazine and 35 darts.
The blaster carries up to 35 darts in the drum magazine and uses a pump-action system for rapid fire. The tactical rail is compatible with most N-strike accessories and the adjustable stock delivers a comfortable fit for kids six and up. View larger. |

its okay August 30, 2010 it needs more range cause it shoots 5-10ft. dont drop it on the ground to much cause it breaks easier than other products
This dart gun was OK. August 18, 2010 Joe (nowhere) This dart gun isn't good as I thought it was. It can only shoot about 10-15 feet straight so it hits the ground at about 14-20 feet. I would've gave this review a 2, but I liked the how the drum can store up to 35 darts. I accidentally destroyed my raider cs 35 when I tried to mod it. So I bought a recon cs -6. The drum fits and the recon can shoot a little better. The recon shoots about 15-20 feet straight and hits the floor about 18-25 feet which is good enough.
An Ok Nerf Gun July 30, 2010 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I don't Know If it was just my gun in particular but i found that it's range was terrible. other things i didnt like about it was that the enormus drum clip takes at least 5 minutes to reload cause you have to find all the darts and then reload. not a very good gun:(
Raider CS-35 - Excellent if range isn't an issue. July 24, 2010 Jordan Hissin The NERF Raider CS-35 is an excellent blaster for someone to start getting into NERF, especially if you go for the 70-dart bonus pack that is sold here for only a couple extra dollars than this. With 70 darts total, you won't have to worry as much about losing darts, and the CS-35 drum clip is compatible with many other NERF blasters like the Recon and Longshot.
The Raider has one major main feature, the slam-fire semi-auto. This allows you to quickly fire darts at a much higher rate than most other spring-powered blasters, by simply holding down the trigger and sliding the priming handle back and forth. The only blasters I can think of that can shoot faster than this are the Chainblazer, a much older NERF blaster, the Rapid Fire 20 and the Magstrike, which both are air-powered.
However, the Raider sacrifices range for its rapid firing ability. With its reverse plunger system, it cannot shoot as far as direct plunger blasters such as the Longshot CS-6 or even a Nite Finder EX-3. This is also why the Longstrike has much less range than a Longshot. If you modify or play competitively, this is a consideration you will have to take into account.
This is a great blaster all in all, just wish it wasn't reverse plunger.
great gun July 22, 2010 sburda82 THis is a great nerf product, i'd watch who you buy it for though. I bought it for my eight year old nephew and a year later, the darts are all missing... to many to keep track of for the young ones to really care... he also puts it through hell, and its still kickin' so the duribility factor is outstanding. Definetly a recommended buy!
